My goal for this session with Maria was not only to capture professional headshots, but also to highlight her essence. She’s naturally more reserved, yet full of surprises, like her love for rap throwbacks that only true millennials can fully vibe with.

These portraits were about showing how multifaceted we all are. Maria embodies many stories… corporate professional in the tech world by day, and a theater enthusiast by night, after spending her free time memorizing lines and practicing her accents.

During our time together, I got to know a side of Maria that truly inspires. She’s a reminder to take up space, lean into the things that drive us, and embrace the different parts of our story.
